Goals

To improve the livelihoods, food and nutrition security, access to education, and resilience of vulnerable rural and remote mountain communities through sustainable development, economic empowerment, and timely humanitarian support.

Vision

To promote a resilient, self-reliant, and inclusive society where rural and remote mountain communities have secure food systems, access to education, sustainable livelihoods, strong community infrastructure, and protection from the impacts of natural and man-made disasters.

Mission

To empower poor and marginalized rural and remote mountain communities by promoting sustainable agriculture, supporting education for disadvantaged children, strengthening community infrastructure, fostering small income-generating enterprises, and providing humanitarian relief during emergencies

Objectives

  1. Enhance Food and Nutrition Security
    • To support small farmers in rural and remote mountain areas to construct and operate climate-resilient passive solar greenhouses.
    • To promote year-round crop production of nutritious vegetables for household consumption and income generation.
  2. Support Education for Disadvantaged Children
    • To enable children from disadvantaged families to continue their high school education by providing financial support to their parents.
    • To assist parents in starting small income-generating activities that ensure sustainable educational expenses for their children.
    • To promote school greenhouses that can be used as teaching laboratories while using our greenhouse curriculum
  3. Promote Livelihood and Economic Empowerment
    • To support poor farmers and rural households in starting or expanding small businesses and micro-enterprises.
    • To strengthen household income, reduce poverty, and improve economic self-reliance.
  4. Strengthen Community Infrastructure
    • To support communities in constructing and rehabilitating community buildings, schools, and other essential social infrastructure.
    • To promote community participation and ownership in local development initiatives.
  5. Provide Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief
    • To provide timely relief materials and emergency support to victims of natural and man-made disasters such as landslides, floods, fires, and earthquakes.
    • To support early recovery and rehabilitation efforts in disaster-affected communities.
  6. Promote Sustainability and Community Resilience
    • To integrate environmentally sustainable practices and climate-smart approaches in all programs.
    • To strengthen the resilience of communities to economic shocks, climate change, and disasters.
